ObjectivesObjective of this process is a purchase order placement with respect to a given offer selection.
Description of basic activitiesThe process starts with - usually manually performed - negotations on terms and conditions. After the contract conditions are agreed on the order can be placed in various ways: manually via Fax, e-Mail, or Telephone, using sell-side product catalogues and corresponding Web interfaces, or using buy-side information systems with an electronic interface to the supplier (such as desktop purchasing systems).
